Next Stop Taikoo Place

As Hong Kong continues to grow as an international business hub, the supply of attractive and affordable office spaces is becoming scarce. Therefore, some companies have had to explore places outside the traditional business center in Central.

Many of them have settled in Quarry Bay and Tai Koo, located a little further down the island. Previously a residential and industrial area, the neighborhood has steadily been growing into a commercial center with banks, advertising and information technology companies setting up offices in Taikoo Place and its 10 office towers.

With the increased volume of workers in the area, more restaurants, cafes and bars have opened up to offer trendy dining and drinking locations. With more and more out-of-town workers coming to work in the neighborhood, living accommodations have increased as well, particularly service apartments like the brand-new Taikoo Place Apartments.

The 28-story building is located walking distance from the Quarry Bay train station and just outside the Taikoo Place commercial complex. There is a total of 111 units tailored for professionals in Taikoo Place Apartments. With 63 studios, 40 one-bedroom suites, six two-bedroom suites and two penthouses, there is accommodation for anybody making the move to Hong Kong.

Each unit is laid out to maximize space, efficiency and natural light as they all have large floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for plenty of sunlight to enter. The apartments also each have an open kitchen, a Bose audiovisual system, a Blu-ray player and complimentary broadband Wi-Fi among other amenities.

The studio units range from 477 to 484 square feet and comes with customized modern furniture and two closets. There are two different layouts for one-bedroom suites which range from 616 to 745 square feet. Each suite has either one or two balconies where residents can enjoy scenic views, a living area and plenty of wardrobe space.

The six two-bedroom suites are located on the 23rd floor or higher. The master bedroom has deluxe walk-in closets and a master bathroom while the guestroom can be used as a bedroom, lounge or study which can be opened to the living areas. Residents can enjoy magnificent views of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal from the comfort of their own home.

After a long day at work, residents can unwind in the apartment’s exclusive clubhouse. The central lounge emulates a stylish living room for residents to relax with a refreshment bar and a reading lounge. There is an outdoor terrace with seating and private dining space for residents and their guests to enjoy while overlooking the lively streets below.

Besides its proximities to the offices at Taikoo Place, the area has plenty of other things to offer. One of Hong Kong’s largest shopping destination, Cityplaza, is only a short walk as its 170 shopping and dining places, supermarkets, movie theater and indoor ice rink will certainly have something for everyone. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the service apartment is near the Quarry Bay Promenade as well as numerous walking trail in the nearby mountains.

But if residents ever need to head over to Central, it’s only a 15-minute train ride away.
